				What goes up...   ...must come down! The Green Point Flyers Association has a launching platform for hang gliding and paragliding about a mile or so south of Elberta, Michigan. The hang gliders launch at 370 feet above Lake Michigan, and with a good west wind, can stay up as long as their energy, skill, and patience lasts. The two pictures above show John Leete of Frankfort / Virginia launching, and in another flight, son Phil Leete (a hang gliding instructor) landing at the Elberta beach. Both were up for over one hour. The Traverse City Hang Gliders-Paragliders organization does paragliding instruction at the Elberta (Green Point) location.
