FRANKFORT CRAFT FAIR RULES

2013 FRANKFORT CRAFT FAIR RULES

  1. All applications must be accompanied by 3 photos of your work (3 of each category), plus 1 photo of your display and 1 of work in progress (you making or doing your art/craft). Applications will not be reviewed without these photos. If not submited with online applicatoin, Photos or digital photos printed on photo paper are preferred – (8x10 preferred, 5 x 7 accepted). Label each picture with artist's name, media, an arrow indicating the top of the photo and the price and size of the object. If multiple categories – please indicate the percentage of each you will be displaying.
  2. Include an appropriate size, self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your pictures and jury results. If you do not provide the appropriate size and stamped envelope, YOUR PHOTOS WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO YOU.
  3. All work must be original, handcrafted and created by the artists themselves. Kits, imports and mass produced items will not be tolerated. This rule will be strictly enforced.
  4. All categories shall be reviewed, juried and screened prior to acceptance. Any media NOT approved during the application process shall be removed. Separate photos for each category to be displayed must be submitted. Exhibitors may only sell work analogous to submitted photos.
  5. The approved exhibitor will occupy his or her booth at all times. No subletting or sharing of space is permitted. NO REPRESENTATIVES ARE ALLOWED.
  6. Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting the State Sales Tax and filing a report with the Department of Revenue.
  7. An accepted application is a commitment to display your work during ALL (10:00 am—4:00 pm Saturday) scheduled hours of the Fair. DO NOT BREAK DOWN EARLY! Exhibitors who breakdown early may be excluded from future Chamber events.
  8. NO refunds are issued for cancellations after May 1, 2013.
  9. Payment in full is expected with the application. If paying for more than one show – all checks should be separate for each show. Applications will not be juried or processed without payment. PLEASE NOTE: There will be a $10 fee charged for ALL returned checks.
  10. A applies if you apply after June 1, 2013.
  11. Artists must provide their own displays; these displays must be sturdy enough to withstand weather and crowds. Each artist is responsible for his/her own display in case of loss or damage.
  12. Exhibitors will leave their exhibit space clean and their trash disposed of in the dumpsters after the Fair.
  13. Exhibitors will confine their display to their assigned booth space (12 x 12). We have gone to considerable effort to allow for the maximum number of booths in an easy to follow configuration, and to allow for a proper and safe aisle space. Expect to be asked to move if you are in anyway outside your marked space.
  14. The exhibitor's space shall be occupied by 8:30 am Saturday. If not, the exhibitor will be considered a "no show" and his/her space may be reassigned. No refund will be given in this circumstance. Absolutely no exhibitor vehicles will be allowed in the Park after 8:30 am Saturday.
  15. Setup and breakdown times will be strictly enforced. Breakdown will not begin until the end of the Fair (4:00 pm Saturday). Breaking down early may exclude you from exhibiting in future Chamber sponsored events. Breakdown and pack your exhibit before bringing your vehicle into the Park. Vehicles will not be permitted into the Park between 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Saturday. The show director will have the final decision on when vehicles will be allowed into the Park after the Fair.
  16. PARKING – PLEASE READ: Limited overnight parking is available on the North side Bellows Ave. (the side of the street with houses) on a first come basis. The side of Bellows that is behind exhibitors is reserved for those artists! If your booth is NOT on Bellows – DO NOT PARK BEHIND SOMEONE else's booth! There is also artist parking at the Nazarene Church one block down on Corning as well as the Elementary school on M-22 across from the park. Do not park on the streets around the Fair. Save these spots for customer parking.
  17. Overnighters will observe RV etiquette at all times. Absolutely no trash is to be left behind. Failure to comply with RV etiquette will cause immediate removal from the Fair.
  18. Due to liability issues, exhibitors are not allowed to bring pets or any animal to the Fair site, or during set up.
  19. If you have a problem at the Fair, please contact the Fair staff immediately. We are here to ensure a safe and profitable event for all concerned.
  20. All rules will be strictly enforced. Failure to comply with the rules or unruly behavior (including intoxication or verbal abuse) by the exhibitor or any assistants will cause immediate expulsion from the Fair and eliminate the exhibitor from future Chamber sponsored events. Management reserves the right to make the final interpretation of all rules.

2013 FRANKFORT ART FAIR RULES

If you have more than one item that you will be selling at our Fair– you must provide 3 individual DIFFERENT photos of EACH CATEGORY and indicate the percentage of each. Applications will not be processed without these photos and payment. Photos are requested (8x10-preferred or 5x7 accepted). Please note: Checks will not be cashed until you are accepted into the Fair. It could take up to two months to process.

  4. NEW: ALL JEWELRY POTTERY PHOTOGRAPHY and TEXTILE applicants will be held until April 1 and will be juried together. All applications submitted after April 1 will be held until June 1 to be juried.
  5. If you are not accepted into the fair, your booth fee will be returned; however, your jury fee will be retained by the Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce. NO EXCEPTIONS!
